The majority of children stay to school lunch, although a packed lunch may be brought to school in a plastic box labelled with the child's name. In the interests of safety, no glass drinks containers are allowed.

All meals are eaten in the dining hall and children are supervised by a team of midday supervisors. The children are usually offered a choice of food and are encouraged to eat their meals. Parents can advise the school of their children’s dietary requirements for health or religious reasons who will inform the school cook and kitchen staff.

Children are expected to be polite and quiet in the dining hall for safety reasons. No child staying to lunch is allowed to leave the school premises at dinner-time unless a request from a parent/guardian has been received and the child is collected.

Some children are eligible for free school meals. Applications are dealt with at the Education Office, Shaftesbury House, High Street, West Bromwich and the secretary will be pleased to help you acquire the correct form.
